Activation Signal Workshop
A live, nine-week programme for product, growth, and analytics pairs who need Activation Metrics for New Users that can survive finance, support, and a sceptical engineer.
Learning outcomes
- A written activation definition with inclusions, exclusions, and the first-touch clock.
- A window (hours or days) justified with your own retention overlay, not a template.
- A sketch of the warehouse grain: who is a new user, and who is merely a new account.
- A critique memo your leadership can read without a glossary.
Modules
You bring the events you currently report. We strike the ones that only prove the UI rendered.
Translate the remaining events into English a support agent would recognise.
Compare 48-hour, 7-day, and 21-day closures on the same cohort without mixing them in one KPI.
Separate invited seats, SSO shadows, and users who never leave the marketing site.
You leave with a lattice sketch, not a vendor screenshot.
Each pair presents. The room is allowed to be unkind if the metric still hides a leak.

Questions we hear before enrolment
Do we need a mature warehouse?
You need extractable event data. If events live only in a product-analytics SaaS with 30-day retention, you can still do the writing work, but the lattice lab will be thin.
Can one person attend without an analyst?
Yes. The homework is heavier. Pairs move faster in module five.
What is a real limitation of this course?
We do not implement tracking plans in your codebase. If your events are unnamed or fire twice, the workshop will expose that, not repair it. Engineering time is yours to schedule after week three.
Is there a certificate?
A letter of completion, dated, with the activation definition you submitted. Not a regulated qualification.
